On Fax.Plus, cancelling your subscription is the same action as disabling auto-renewal. There is no separate toggle. Here's why and what that means for you.
What "cancelling" actually does
When you cancel your Fax.Plus subscription, two things happen:
- Auto-renewal is turned off. You will not be charged again at the end of your current billing cycle.
- Your access continues until the end of the cycle you've already paid for. You can keep sending and receiving faxes during this period.
So if you've paid for the month or a year and want to stop being charged but still use the service for the rest of the month or the year, cancel now. You'll get to use everything you paid for, and you won't be charged again.
Step-by-step: how to disable auto-renewal
- Log in to Fax.Plus at app.fax.plus.
- Go to Settings → Plan & Billing → Plan Details.
- Click Cancel Plan next to your current plan.
- Read the cancellation notice and click Cancel my Plan to confirm.
- Check for the confirmation email within a few minutes.
That's it. No further action needed. Auto-renewal is now disabled.
How to verify auto-renewal is off
After cancelling, your Plan Details screen shows your plan as Canceled and to expire on a specific date rather than scheduled to renew. If you don't see the expiration date, the cancellation didn't complete. Try again.
What if I change my mind?
You have until the end of your current billing cycle to resume your plan and keep your fax number. After that, we hold your number for 30 days before releasing it. To resume:
- Log in to Fax.Plus.
- Go to Settings → Plan & Billing.
- Click Reactivate.
Why we don't have a separate "auto-renewal" toggle
We tested this and found it caused more confusion. With a toggle, customers would disable auto-renewal then keep using the service expecting it to continue, and were surprised when their plan expired. By tying auto-renewal disablement to cancellation, the behavior is clearer: cancel = stop renewing = keep using until end of cycle = then expire.
If you subscribed through Apple or Google Play
Auto-renewal is controlled by Apple or Google, not by us. Disable it through your App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
