If you previously had a Fax.Plus subscription and want to come back, you can reactivate your old account. What's possible depends on how long ago you cancelled.
If you cancelled within the last 30 days
You're in luck. Your fax number is still held and your data (faxes, contacts, settings) is intact.
1. Log in to Fax.Plus at app.fax.plus using your previous email.
2. Go to Settings → Plan & Billing.
3. Click Resume Plan.
4. Choose a plan and complete payment.
Your previous fax number is immediately reactivated. Past faxes are still in your Inbox and Sent folders.
If you cancelled 30 days to 12 months ago
Your fax number was released after the 30-day grace period and is no longer available to you. Your account itself and your historical data are still preserved (on the Free plan).
1. Log in with your previous email.
2. Subscribe to a paid plan to get a new fax number.
3. Choose your area code.
4. Your historical fax data (sent and received from before cancellation) is still accessible in your Faxes folders.
You'll have a different fax number than before, but the rest of your account is intact.
If your old number is critical
If you need the same fax number you had before, and it's been more than 30 days but less than 12 months:
1. Contact support@alohi.com with your previous fax number and account email.
2. We'll check whether the number has been released or it is still available to be reclaimed.
3. If the number is still in our inventory and unassigned, we can sometimes reclaim it for an administrative fee of $19.99.
4. If it is not available in our inventory, we cannot reclaim it.
Don't count on this - number reclamation is best-effort.
If you can't remember which email you used
Log in attempts will show "email not found" if you use the wrong address. If you've forgotten the email:
1. Search your inbox(es) for "Fax.Plus" - confirmation emails will reveal which address you used.
2. Check old credit card statements for the charge merchant name and date — this can help narrow down when you signed up.
What gets restored vs what doesn't
Restored: account profile, historical fax data, contacts, settings, plan history.
Not restored automatically: integrations (Zapier, Slack, Google Workspace add-ons) - you'll need to reconnect these. SSO configuration - needs reconfigured if your IdP changed.
