Workarounds while you wait
If you need to start faxing right away, you have a couple of options:
Search a different area code in the same city. Many cities have multiple area codes, and a nearby one may be available immediately.
Accept a fallback number. We can assign you a number in a nearby area code or a default US number right away so you can start faxing without delay. You can swap to your preferred area code later once it becomes available. Please note that the number change carries a one-time fee of $9.99.
Common questions
I was charged but haven't received my number. If you completed payment for a plan but your requested number is still on backorder, your plan is active and you can use other features, including sending from a fallback number if one has been assigned to you.
I tried to buy and got charged twice. This sometimes happens when customers retry the purchase after seeing an "unavailable" message — for example, the first attempt actually went through but appeared to fail, prompting a second try. If you see two identical charges on your statement, please contact support@alohi.com and we'll resolve it right away.
