I lost access to the email used to create my Fax.Plus account

If you can no longer access the email address you used to create your Fax.Plus account - for example, you left a previous employer, your company changed domains, or you closed an old personal email - you can still get back into your account. Once we've verified you, we'll send you a temporary password, and you can then move the account to an email address you can access.

Not sure which email you used? Search all your inboxes for "Fax.Plus" or "Alohi". Payment receipts and notifications are sent to the account email. If you find one in an inbox you can access, you don't need this article - use Forgot password on the login page.

How to request access

Option 1: You have a mobile number verified on the account (fastest)

  1. Send an SMS to +1 888 233 0501 from that mobile number.
  2. Include:
    • The email address registered on the account, even if you can't access it
    • Your payment details (see the list below)

Option 2: You don't have a verified mobile number

  1. Email support@alohi.com from any email address you can access.
  2. Include:
    • The email address registered on the account, even if you can't access it
    • The fax number on the account, if you know it
    • Your payment details (see the list below)
    • A screenshot of a bank, card or PayPal statement showing a Fax.Plus charge. You can hide unrelated transactions - we only need your name and the Fax.Plus charge.

Payment details we need

  • Card payments: the last 4 digits of the card used for the most recent payment.
  • PayPal payments: the name on the PayPal account.
  • Apple App Store or Google Play: a screenshot of the payment.

For business accounts, or if we can't match these details to the account, we may ask for additional proof, such as a government-issued ID matching the name on the account, or a letter from your company confirming the email belonged to you.

After we verify you

  1. We send you a temporary password.
  2. Log in at app.fax.plus with the old email address and the temporary password.
  3. Change the account email to one you can access straight away, so you receive receipts, notifications and password resets. See How can I update my email address?
  4. Set a new password.

Once you're back in, you can keep using the account, cancel your subscription, or delete your account.

If you're a member of a company account

If your account is part of a company account (Business or Enterprise), contact your account owner or admin first - they can add you as a new user with your current email. See How can I update my email address? for how to keep access to your previous faxes.
