I lost access to the email used to create my Fax.Plus account

If you can no longer access the email address you used to register your Fax.Plus account — for example, you've left your previous employer, your company changed domains, or you closed an old personal email — you can still recover the account or cancel the subscription. Here's how.

What we need to verify your identity

Because account recovery involves sensitive billing and data access, we need to verify that you are the legitimate owner of the account before making changes. We typically need:

  1. The original email address registered on the account, even if you can no longer access it.
  2. The fax number assigned to the account, if you remember it.
  3. The last 4 digits of the credit card used for the most recent payment, OR a screenshot of a recent invoice.
  4. Proof of identity matching the name on the account: a government-issued ID is the cleanest option.
  5. Proof that you previously controlled the email: this can be an HR letter, a domain ownership record, or a company letter on letterhead confirming the email belonged to you.

How to start the recovery process

If you have a mobile number verified in your Fax.Plus account:

  1. Send an SMS to +1 888 233 0501 from your verified mobile number.
  2. Include the following information in your message:
    • The last 4 digits of the card used to pay for your subscription
    • Your Fax.Plus account email address

Once we verify your information, we will send you a temporary password.

If you do not have a mobile number verified in your account:

  1. Send us an email from the email address associated with your Fax.Plus account.
  2. Include the following:
    • The last 4 digits of the card used for payment
    • A copy or screenshot of a recent bank statement showing a charge from Fax.Plus

For your privacy, you may hide or blur any unrelated transactions. We only need to see your name and the Fax.Plus charge.

After successful verification, we will provide you with a temporary password so you can regain access to your account.
