A surprising number of customers cancel their Fax.Plus subscription not because they don't want fax service, but because their current plan doesn't fit their actual usage. Before cancelling, see if a different plan would suit you better.
Quick guide by usage
Less than 10 fax pages per month: Stay on the Free plan with pay-as-you-go credits when needed. No subscription required. You won't get a dedicated fax number on Free, but you can send.
10-50 pages per month, occasional sender: Basic plan ($8.99/month, 200 pages, includes a dedicated fax number).
50-300 pages per month, regular use, single user: Premium plan ($17.99/month or $167.99/year). Includes more pages, advanced features, multiple file formats, and toll-free option.
Multiple users in the same organization: Business plan or Enterprise plan. Provides multiple fax numbers, team member accounts, shared inboxes, and admin controls.
HIPAA-required workflows, healthcare: Enterprise plan with BAA. Lower-tier plans cannot be HIPAA-compliant for PHI transmission.
API integration: Enterprise plan. You can integrate fax capabilities directly into your software or application using the Fax.Plus API.
Custom volume above 500,000 pages: Contact our sales team for a custom Enterprise plan.
Signs you're on the wrong plan
You exceed your page limit every month and pay for extra credits regularly: Upgrade. You'll likely save money on the next plan up.
You use less than half your pages every month: Consider downgrading. The Basic plan covers most light users.
Your account is shared by multiple people but you're on a single-user plan: Upgrade to Business. Your team can then have individual logins, separate inboxes, and proper audit trails.
You're paying $34.99/month for the Business plan but only one person uses it: Downgrade to Premium. Same features for individual use, much cheaper.
You're on the Free plan but pay for credits every week: Subscribe to Basic. You'll get a dedicated number plus more pages for less.
Before you cancel
If you're thinking of cancelling because of cost, look at the next plan down before cancelling entirely. Often a downgrade keeps your fax number active and reduces your monthly bill significantly. See How can I downgrade my Fax.Plus subscription plan?.
