The Print to Fax feature lets you send a fax directly from any application on your computer — just like printing to a regular printer. Once installed, a virtual "Send as Fax (Fax.Plus)" printer appears in your print dialog, letting you fax documents from Word, Adobe Acrobat, your browser, or any other app without saving or uploading files manually.
Step 1: Download and install the Print to Fax driver
- Log in to your Fax.Plus account.
- Go to Settings → Faxing.
- Scroll down to the Send Fax from Email & Desktop section.
- Under Print to Fax, click Download and select your operating system:
- Download for Windows
- Download for macOS
-
Open the downloaded file and follow the on-screen installation instructions.
Note: You may need administrator permissions on your computer to install the driver.
- Once the installation is complete, sign in to your Fax.Plus account to begin using the Print to Fax feature. You may be prompted to grant additional permissions for the feature to function properly.
- After a successful login, you will see a “Login successful, you can close this tab” message.
Step 2: Send a fax from any application
- Open the document you want to fax (PDF, Word file, web page, etc.).
- Open the Print dialog - usually via File → Print or Ctrl+P / Cmd+P.
- In the Printer dropdown, select Send as Fax (Fax.Plus).
- Click Print.
- A Fax.Plus window will open - enter the recipient's fax number and any additional details.
- Confirm and Send.

Troubleshooting
"Send as Fax (Fax.Plus)" doesn't appear in my printer list Make sure the driver was installed successfully. Try restarting your computer after installation, then check the printer list again.
The fax failed to send Check that your Fax.Plus account is active and that you have remaining fax pages on your plan. You can verify this under Settings → Plan & Billing.
I'm prompted to log in after clicking Print The driver needs to authenticate with your Fax.Plus account. Enter your credentials when prompted. If you remain signed out, try reinstalling the driver.
The document looks different in the fax preview This can happen with complex layouts. Try printing to PDF first, then faxing the PDF for the most accurate rendering.
