Automatic Top-Up keeps your Fax.Plus credit balance topped up automatically, so overage faxing never stops for lack of credit. Set a threshold and a recharge amount once, and we handle the rest.
Follow these steps to set up Automatic Top-Up:
- Log in to your Fax.Plus account, and go to Settings --> Plan & Billing.
- Scroll to the My Credit section, find the Automatic Top-Up row, and click Configure.
- Choose a recharge amount (from 10 to 100,000, in USD, CHF, GBP, or EUR) and a threshold - for example, recharge $100 whenever your balance drops below $20. A live indicator shows roughly how many pages that buys.
- Toggle it on, and click Save.
How it works: whenever your balance drops below your chosen threshold, we automatically charge your default payment method for the recharge amount, add the credit to your account, and email you a receipt. Your credits are used to send and receive faxes once you reach your subscription's quota limits.
Note: If a charge fails, we retry automatically over roughly two days and notify the Account Owner, Admins, and the billing contact (if set) by email. The Automatic Top-Up row will show an Unable to Charge status until you update your payment method.
Turning it off: you can disable Automatic Top-Up at any time from the same Configure screen. Your saved threshold and recharge amount are kept, so turning it back on later takes one click.
Tip: Setup is web-only; the mobile app shows an informational note pointing you to the web app. If you pay via in-app purchase (App Store/Play Store), Automatic Top-Up requires a non-IAP payment method on file, the same as manual credit purchases.
