Cancel, delete, or close your account: which do you actually need?

These three actions are different. Pick the one that matches what you actually want to do.

Decision guide

"I want to stop being charged." → You want to cancel your subscription. See How can I cancel my Fax.Plus subscription plan?. Your account will remain (on a Free plan) but no further charges will occur.

"I want all my data permanently removed from Fax.Plus." → You want to delete your account. Continue reading below.

"I just want to take a break and might come back." → Cancel your subscription. We hold your fax number for 30 days after expiration. If you return within that window, you can resume your plan and keep the same number.

"I no longer have access to the email I used to create the account." → See I lost access to the email used to create my Fax.Plus account.

Note: Paid accounts cannot be deleted, closed or canceled until the active subscription is canceled and the account is converted to the Free plan in the next 30 days with no remaining credits.

How to delete your account

You can delete your data and close your account at any time, but only when your account is on the Free plan with no remaining credits.

If you have a paid plan or unused credits, you must first:

  1. Cancel your subscription. See the cancellation article.
  2. Use up or wait out any remaining credits.
  3. Wait until your billing cycle ends and your account moves to the Free plan.
  4. Then proceed with deletion.

Delete via the Web App

You can delete data linked to your Free Alohi Account (Fax.Plus and Sign.Plus) and close your account by accessing the data deletion link directly from your account at https://app.fax.plus/data-deletion.

Delete via the iOS app

Follow these steps to delete the Alohi account:

  1. Launch your Fax.Plus or Sign.Plus iOS application.
  2. Go to your Settings tab.
  3. Find My Info, and click on it.
  4. To delete the account, click on Delete Account.

Delete via the Android app

Follow these steps to delete the Alohi account:

  1. Launch your Fax.Plus or Sign.Plus Android application.
  2. Go to your Settings tab.
  3. Find My Info, and click on it.
  4. To delete the account, click on Delete Account.

Note:  Your account must be on the Free plan with no remaining credits to proceed with deletion. Once the deletion is processed, all associated data will be permanently removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

What deletion does 

  • Removes all your faxes (sent and received). 
  • Removes your account profile and login. 
  • Removes your contacts and any settings. 
  • Cannot be undone.

What deletion does not do

  • Does not refund any past payments. See our refund policy.
  • Does not delete data on devices where you've manually downloaded faxes.

If you have a Sign.Plus account too

Both products use the same Alohi account. Deleting from Fax.Plus also deletes your Sign.Plus access if they share the same login.
