You can send faxes from Fax.Plus to virtually any country in the world that has a working fax line. Costs vary by destination.
Countries supported for sending
Fax.Plus can send to over 200 countries. Some destinations may require a paid plan (see "high-rate destinations" below).
To check whether a specific destination is supported and its cost:
- Visit www.fax.plus/rates.
- Enter the destination fax number including country code.
- The page shows the cost per page to that destination.
Standard destinations
For most major destinations (US or Canada), the cost is the same as your plan's standard page rate. Pages count against your monthly plan allowance.
High-rate destinations
Some destinations have higher per-page costs because the receiving telecom operator charges us more. Examples include, certain African and Caribbean countries, and some specialty number ranges (premium rate numbers).
If you try to send to a high-rate destination from a Free or Pay-As-You-Go plan, you'll see the error "Paid plan is required to send a fax to a high-rate destination." See the related article.
To send to high-rate destinations, you need a Basic plan or higher.
Page count for high-rate destinations
A single physical page sent to a high-rate destination may count as multiple pages against your plan allowance. For example, a single page to a high rate destination number may count as 5-10 pages. The exact multiplier is shown on the rates page for each destination.
Restricted destinations
We do not send faxes to destinations under international sanctions (currently this includes parts of North Korea, Iran in some cases, Syria, and others depending on regulatory status at the time of sending).
If you attempt a sanctioned destination, the fax will fail.
How to estimate costs before sending
Before sending a large fax to an unfamiliar destination:
- Check the rates page for the cost.
- Multiply the cost by your number of pages.
- Make sure your plan has enough remaining pages or credits.
