Which plans support Australian number porting?
Australian fax number porting is available on Business and Enterprise plans.
Can I downgrade after my Australian number is ported?
Once your Australian number is ported into Fax.Plus, you can keep using it by staying on Business, Enterprise, or another eligible higher plan.
🚫 Downgrading to a lower plan (such as Basic or Premium) after the port is completed is not available.
What should I do before submitting a port request?
- Choose the Business or Enterprise plan you’re comfortable keeping long-term
- Confirm the number you want to port is a standard Australian geographic number (not toll-free). Please note that our current telecom providers do not accept Australian toll-free numbers, and your porting will be rejected if it were to have a toll-free number in its request.
- Reach out to Support so we can assist you with initiating your porting request.
- When filling out the LOA, you will be asked to indicate whether this is a CAT A port or a CAT C port.
- A CAT A port is for a single, standalone number with no complex services attached.
- A CAT C port is for numbers that have complex services associated with them or involve multiple numbers. If you aren't sure which one to choose, please check with your losing carrier.
