How can I switch off my fax reception?

This guide shows you how to stop receiving incoming faxes on your Fax.Plus number. You can re-enable reception at any time - your number stays active and you can still send faxes while reception is off.

How to disable fax reception on a Web app

1. Log in to your Fax.Plus account at app.fax.plus.
2. From the top navigation bar, click Numbers.
3. Locate your fax number in the list.
4. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) at the right end of the number's row.
5. Select Disable Fax Reception from the dropdown menu.

Your number will immediately stop accepting incoming faxes. Senders will not be able to deliver faxes to this number while reception is disabled; these faxes are not queued or stored, so anything sent during this period will not arrive later.

Re-enabling fax reception

To start receiving faxes again, open the same three-dot menu next to your number and select Enable Fax Reception.

How to disable fax reception on mobile apps (iOS & Android)

1. Log in to your Fax.Plus account on the mobile app. 
2. Tap Settings. 
3. Under Plan & Billing, tap Numbers. 
4. Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the number you want to update. 
5. Toggle off Fax Reception.
