From which countries and cities is it possible to purchase a local fax number?

With Fax.Plus, you can receive faxes online by getting one or more local or national fax numbers. The table below shows every country where you can get a fax number, the minimum plan, and whether you need a local address or approved regulatory documents.

Requirements by country

What the columns mean

• Minimum plan: Basic means any paid plan. Premium means a Premium, Business or Enterprise plan. Basic and Premium include one fax number; to add more numbers, upgrade to Business or Enterprise.
• Regulatory documents required: your identity and address documents must be submitted and approved before the number can be assigned. See Which countries require regulatory documents? and How to submit regulatory documents.
• On request: the number is assigned manually by our team. See the guides for France, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Regulatory documents and local addresses

Requirements vary by country:

• Some countries require both approved regulatory documents and proof of a local address.
• Some countries require only one - either regulatory documents or a local address.
• Some countries require neither - for example, the United States, where you can get a number without a local address or regulatory documents.

What if a country is on backorder?

You can select any country in the app, but numbers are only available when our local carriers have them in stock. If numbers from your chosen country are currently unavailable, you'll see a message that they're on backorder.

In that case, the app offers a U.S. fax number instead, at no extra cost. With it, you can send faxes locally in your country and internationally right away. We're working with local carriers to replenish inventory, so availability can change - check again later by selecting the country in the app.
