How can I set myself as a recipient of a signature request?

You have the flexibility to dispatch a signature request while also designating yourself as a recipient. You can choose to either sign the document or simply receive a copy.

When utilizing the Request Signature tool, you can include recipients by using the Add Recipients feature and include yourself as a signer. In the audit trail, your name and email address will be indicated as both the initiator and a signatory.
