Follow these steps to implement an SMS authentication of a document when requesting a signature:
Sender Instructions:
- Log in to your Sign.Plus account.
- Initiate a signature request by uploading the document that requires signatures. After uploading, navigate to the Add Recipients section.
- Enter the email addresses of the individuals who need to sign the document. Ensure each is listed correctly to maintain document security and order.
- For additional security, enforce SMS verification for signers: Find the recipient’s role (default set to Needs to Sign) and click the shield icon (highlighted as [1] in the image) beside it to access Recipient Verification options.
- Select SMS from the drop-down menu (indicated by [2] in the image). In the newly appeared text field (marked as [3] in the image), enter the mobile number of the recipient. This step ensures that only the designated recipients can access and sign the document using a unique SMS verification code sent to their phone.
- Click Next to continue with the signature request process. Review your document thoroughly before sending.
Note: Please ensure that the Admin of your account has activated this feature and that your account has enough SMS to request such verification. For more information, refer to this article.
