Why am I seeing the 'Your card does not support this type of purchase' message when making a purchase?

If you come across the message "Your card does not support this type of purchase," while attempting make a purchase, there could be different reasons why you may get this error.

  • Some debit cards require a PIN to be entered. In this case, you will need to use another card to make your purchase.
  • Certain cards come with limitations regarding usage across different countries. If your card was issued in a country different from where the business is located (as indicated in the origin field when you view the payment details), this disparity could be causing the issue. We recommend reaching out to your bank to ascertain whether they have implemented such restrictions.
