Scan.Plus integrates directly with Fax.Plus, so you can fax a scanned document without manually exporting and re-uploading it. This guide walks you through the process.
Before you begin
Make sure you have the following:
- A Scan.Plus account (Free or paid)
- A Fax.Plus account (Free or paid)
- Both apps installed on the same device
Since both apps use your Alohi login, no separate sign-in is needed.
How to fax a scan from Scan.Plus
- Open Scan.Plus and scan your document, or open an existing scan.
- Tap the Share or Send button.
- Select Send Fax from the available options.
- The Fax.Plus sending interface will open.
- Enter the recipient's fax number, including the country code.
- Tap Send.
Your document will be sent as a fax. Any costs are deducted from your Fax.Plus plan or credits - not from Scan.Plus. If you're on the Fax.Plus Free plan, your 10 free pages will be used. Once those are used up, you'll need to upgrade your plan or purchase additional credits.
Troubleshooting: "Send Fax" option not appearing
If the Send Fax option doesn't appear in the share menu, check the following:
- No Fax.Plus account - You'll need to create one at app.fax.plus. The Free plan is enough to get started.
- Fax.Plus app not installed - Download and install the Fax.Plus app on the same device as Scan.Plus.
Alternative: send manually without the integration
If the direct integration isn't working, you can still send your scan as a fax:
- Export your scan from Scan.Plus as a PDF.
- Open Fax.Plus mobile application.
- Start a new fax and attach the saved PDF.
This method works independently of the Scan.Plus–Fax.Plus integration.
"Subscribe to send a fax" - but I already have a Scan.Plus subscription
This prompt refers to a Fax.Plus subscription, not Scan.Plus. The two are separate products with separate pricing - your Scan.Plus subscription only covers Scan.Plus features.
To send a fax, you can:
- Use the 10 free pages included with the Fax.Plus Free plan.
- Upgrade to a Fax.Plus Basic plan or purchase credits.
