The Print to Sign feature lets you sign your documents directly from any application on your computer. Once installed, a virtual "Request Signature/Sign Myself" printer appears in your print dialog, letting you send documents from Word, Adobe Acrobat, your browser, or any other app without saving or uploading files manually.
Step 1: Download and install the Print to Sign driver
- Log in to your Sign.Plus account.
- Go to Settings → Signing.
- Scroll down to the Sign from Desktop section.
- Under Print to Sign, click Download and select your operating system:

Open the downloaded file and follow the on-screen installation instructions.
Note: You may need administrator permissions on your computer to install the driver.
- Once the installation is complete, sign in to your Sign.Plus account to begin using the Print to Sign feature. You may be prompted to grant additional permissions for the feature to function properly.
- After a successful login, you will see a “Login successful, you can close this tab” message.
Step 2: Request a signature from any application
- Open the document you want to send for signature (PDF, Word file, web page, etc.).
- Open the Print dialog - usually via File → Print or Ctrl+P / Cmd+P.
- In the Printer dropdown, select Request Signature or Sign Myself

Click Print.
- A Sign.Plus window will open. You can either sign the document yourself, or add the recipients name and email.
- Sign yourself or Send.
Requirements
- An active Sign.Plus account
- Windows or macOS (see your plan for supported OS versions).
- The Print to Sign driver installed on your computer.
Troubleshooting
"Request Signature/Sign Myself" doesn't appear in my printer list Make sure the driver was installed successfully. Try restarting your computer after installation, then check the printer list again.
The signature request failed to send Check that your Sign.Plus account is active and that you have remaining signature requests. You can verify this under Settings → Plan & Billing.
I'm prompted to log in after clicking Print The driver needs to authenticate with your Sign.Plus account. Enter your credentials when prompted. If you remain signed out, try reinstalling the driver.
The document looks different in the preview This can happen with complex layouts. Try printing to PDF first, then signing the PDF for the most accurate rendering.
