How can I regain access to my Fax.Plus or Sign.Plus account if I can’t access my 2FA code?

If you’re unable to access your 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) code, don’t worry—we’re here to help you securely regain access to your account.

Where to find your 2FA code

Your 2FA code is generated by the authentication app you used when setting it up, such as Google Authenticator, Authy, or another TOTP-based app. If you still have access to that app on your device, simply open it to retrieve your code.

Lost access to your authentication app?

If you no longer have access to your authentication app, we will need to verify your identity before we can disable 2FA for your account.

For Corporate Account Members

If you are a member of a corporate account, please note:

Only the account Owner can authorize changes to security features, including 2FA resets.

In this case, we require the Owner of your corporate account to contact us directly and follow the instructions in the section below:n“Steps to Request 2FA Reset.”

Steps to request a 2FA reset

Depending on your account setup, please follow the appropriate method below:

If your account is verified with a mobile number:

To initiate the process, please send a text message (SMS) from the mobile number associated with your account to +1 888 233 0501

Include the following information in your message:

  • The last 4 digits of the card used for payment
  • Your registered email address

If you have not verified your account with a mobile number:

Send an email from the email address associated with your account to support@fax.plus with the following information:

  • The last 4 digits of the payment card used
  • Your registered email address

What happens next?

Once we successfully verify your information:

  • 2FA will be disabled on your account
  • You will receive an email confirmation
  • You will receive an email confirmation

If the 2FA reset is being requested on behalf of another user, we’ll ensure access is restored for the specified account.

Important for Admins

If “Enforce 2FA for All Users” is enabled on a corporate account, please temporarily disable this policy before requesting a 2FA reset. This prevents automatic reactivation of 2FA before the user is able to log back in.

If you encounter any issues during the process, please contact our support team at support@fax.plus.
