We’re excited to share that Apple in-app purchases (IAP) are now supported, allowing you to subscribe to any of our Fax.Plus paid plans directly from your iOS device.
If you’ve purchased a subscription via Apple IAP and wish to switch to another plan, you now have the flexibility to make that change at any time, based on your needs.
How to switch Fax.Plus plans on iOS
To change your current plan from your iOS device:
- Log in to your Fax.Plus account via an iOS device.
- Go to Settings.
- Under Plan & Billing, tap Plan.
- Tap Plan type (if your subscription is managed via our web app, you will be notified)
- Select the new plan you’d like to switch to.
- Tap Subscribe to confirm.
Available plan changes on iOS
You can switch between the following plans if you originally subscribed using Apple in-app purchases:
- Free users can change their plan to: Basic (monthly or annual), Premium (monthly or annual), Business (monthly or annual), Enterprise (monthly or annual)
- Basic (monthly) subscribers can upgrade to Basic (annual), Premium (monthly or annual)
- Basic (annual) subscribers can change their plan to Basic (monthly), Premium (monthly or annual)
- Premium (monthly) subscribers can change to Basic (monthly or annual)*, Premium (annual)
- Premium (annual) subscribers can change to Basic (monthly or annual)*, Premium (monthly)
- Business (monthly) subscribers can change to Business (annual)
- Enterprise (monthly) subscribers can change to Enterprise (annual)
- Enterprise (annual) subscribers can change to Enterprise (monthly)
* Some downgrade options, such as from Premium to Basic, may have downgrade eligibility conditions. Our Free plan doesn't include a fax number.
Note: Plan changes are available exclusively for subscriptions purchased through Apple in-app purchases. Subscriptions obtained via the Fax.Plus web app will not be eligible for modification. Only account owners can make these changes from within the Fax.Plus iOS app; the Fax.Plus Support team is unable to process them on your behalf.
Upgrade information
- Monthly to Monthly: If you switch between monthly plans, the change will take effect immediately. Please note that no pro-rated refund is applied.
- Monthly to Annual: If you upgrade from a monthly to an annual plan, the new plan will be applied immediately. Please note that no pro-rated refund is applied.
Downgrade information
- Monthly to Monthly: If you switch between monthly plans, the change will take effect immediately. Please note that no pro-rated refund is applied.
- Annual to Monthly: If you downgrade from an annual to a monthly plan, the new plan will be applied at the end of your current billing cycle. You will continue to have access to your current plan features until that time.
- Annual to Annual: If you downgrade from an annual to an another annual plan, the new plan will be applied at the end of your current billing cycle. You will continue to have access to your current plan features until that time.
Downgrade eligibility
Certain conditions may affect your ability and add conditions to downgrade:
Regional Restrictions: Some countries may require a specific plan level to maintain a fax number from that region.
Note: If you downgrade below the required plan level, your current number will be released and a new random number will be assigned to your account.
Ported Fax Numbers: If your fax number was ported in, you may need to stay on a Premium plan to retain it.
Note: Downgrading to a plan that doesn’t support ported numbers will result in your number being changed. Please note that some countries require higher plans to port over numbers.
Toll-Free Numbers: Accounts with a toll-free number must remain on at least a Premium plan.
Note: Downgrading below Premium will result in your toll-free number being replaced with a new random number.
