The Auto Retry on Failure feature automatically attempts to resend a fax if the initial transmission fails. This helps ensure your fax is delivered even when the recipient’s fax line is busy, temporarily unavailable, or experiences a connection issue.
How Auto Retry on Failure Works
When Auto Retry on Failure is enabled, Fax.Plus will automatically try to resend the fax if the first attempt does not go through. You can customize:
- Number of retries – How many additional times the system will attempt to resend the fax (max 3 retries).
- Delay between each try – The number of minutes the system waits before attempting the next retry (max 720 min delay).
This process continues until:
- The fax is successfully delivered, or
- The maximum number of retry attempts is reached.
When Retries Are Triggered
Retries typically occur when:
- The recipient’s fax line is busy
- The line is temporarily unavailable
- There is a network or connection interruption
- The fax machine does not respond during the transmission attempt
