Quick answers about the Fax.Plus integration for HubSpot. For setup steps, see Set up Fax.Plus for HubSpot

Plans and billing

Which Fax.Plus plan do I need? The Business plan or higher, which includes the HubSpot integration at no extra charge. Anyone can install and connect on any plan, but you need a Business or higher plan to send faxes.

Is there a separate charge from HubSpot? No. You pay Fax.Plus directly. There is no revenue share with HubSpot.

Can I install and set it up before I upgrade? Yes. Install, connection, and setup all work on any plan. Only sending is blocked until an eligible plan (Business or higher) is active.

Access and accounts

Who can install the app? A HubSpot user with permission to install Marketplace apps (for example, a Super Admin).

Does my HubSpot email have to match my Fax.Plus email? Each user needs a Fax.Plus account on the same email they use in HubSpot to send and receive on a record.

A user has no access. Why? They have no Fax.Plus account on their email. The card shows No access and tells them to contact the admin. See Troubleshoot the HubSpot connection

Using it

Which records can I fax from? Contacts, companies, deals, and tickets, wherever your admin added the Fax.Plus card.

Can I send faxes automatically? Yes. Use the Send Fax via Fax.Plus workflow action to send from any HubSpot workflow, with the file coming from an attached file or a cover-page template.

Why do my faxes log as Notes on some accounts and as Fax events on others? That depends on your HubSpot plan. HubSpot Professional and Enterprise get custom Fax timeline events; Starter and Free log faxes as Notes. This is separate from your Fax.Plus plan.

Where are my faxes stored? In Fax.Plus, as always. Faxes also log to the HubSpot record, and your full history stays in your Fax.Plus account.

Disconnecting

How do I disconnect the integration? You can disconnect from either side: from the Fax.Plus app settings inside HubSpot, or from inside Fax.Plus. Disconnecting from one stops the card, the send action, and the workflow action until you reconnect. Your fax history and anything already logged to HubSpot timelines stay in place.

Security and compliance

Is the integration HIPAA-compliant? HIPAA coverage requires the Enterprise plan and a signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with Alohi. If you handle protected health information, arrange a BAA before sending it. Without a signed BAA, do not send protected health information.
