How can I configure and manage my Fax.Plus notifications in Slack?

Follow these steps to configure your notifications in Slack:

1. If needed, learn how to install the Fax.Plus Slack app in this article here.
2. Log in to your Fax.Plus account, and go to the Settings section on your Dashboard.
3. Find the tab for Faxing. Look for the Notifications section.
4. Click on Edit.
5. Next to the item for Slack, click on Modify to open the Slack Notifications menu. If you are getting an error mentioning “Please contact your account admin to enable Slack notifications,” this means an Owner or Admin hasn’t connected the Fax.Plus Slack app yet.
6. Next, configure the following settings:

   • Post To: Specify where (channel/direct) the notifications should go in your Slack workspace. Alternatively, you can enter the channel ID manually.

     Tip: To find the channel ID of a specific Slack channel, right-click on the channel name followed by View Channel Details, and scroll all the way down.

     Important: Make sure the Fax.Plus app is added to the selected Slack channel, otherwise notifications will not be delivered.
     To add the app, go to the channel settings → Integrations → Add an App → search for and add Fax.Plus.
     Alternatively, you can invite the app directly into the channel by typing @Fax.Plus in the message field and following the prompt.

   • Received Fax Notification: Easily switch the feature ON/OFF, and specify whether to include the fax attachment with the notification.
   • Send Fax Notification: Easily switch this feature ON/OFF, and choose whether to include the fax as an attachment in the notification.
